Collection: Passaggio

With the PASSAGGIO collection, Manuel Quaresima explores the threshold between presence and absence, between the body understood as matter and the body as memory. The figures emerge from steel while, at the same time, appearing to gradually withdraw from its solidity. The material thins, opens, and fragments into strands, voids, and tensions, suggesting a progressive process of dematerialization. Passage thus becomes an inner condition before it is a physical one: transformation, loss, and rebirth. The sculptures do not represent a point of arrival, but bodies in a constant state of becoming, animated by an energy that transcends the weight of matter and transforms into trace, presence, and memory.
