Lys – Handmade Steel Human Figure Sculpture

Lys is born from the encounter between strength and lightness. The body leans forward in a gesture of momentum, while the material seems to dissolve and transform into a tangle of branches, roots, or thoughts carried by the wind.

The figure does not resist change: it passes through it. Each metallic filament tells of a tension outwards, as if what composes it is no longer enough to contain its energy. Movement thus becomes a form of liberation, a conscious abandonment of what weighs it down.

The name Lys, which evokes light and clarity, suggests a moment of revelation: the instant when what was fragmented finds a new direction. Not a definitive destination, but the courage to move towards it.
